Wrattonbully, is part of the limestone coast of South Australia . The soil type is clay loam over marine limestone providing purity of flavour and a long, slow ripening window.
Fruit was picked in the cool early morning hours of late summer/early autumn then gently whole bunch pressed after gravity filling our air bag Europress. Juice was taken straight from the press tray with full solids (cloudy) no additions to French oak puncheons. Natural ferment occurred over the next 7-10 days, part of the wine was allowed to go through Malo lactic fermentation, with stirring on lees every two weeks.
After 9 months maturation the wine was racked and then filtered through a cross flow filter - no finings are required, only the addition of SO2. The wine is therefore vegan, not by design but due to gentle handling for optimum winemaking flavour expression.

Bright, golden colour with aromas of Green Apple, Pear and Lemon zest. Medium-full bodied with a lively acidity and flavours of ripe stone fruit and vanilla. Finish is long and creamy with well integrated oak.
